2017 general election

The 2017 general election was held on the 8th of June. It was called by Prime Minister Theresa May in the hope of securing a larger majority in the context of negotiations to withdraw from the European Union, but the Conservatives lost ground, and Mrs May then formed a minority government with the support of the Democratic Unionist Party.
