Police Scotland

Police Scotland (official title the Police Service of Scotland) will be the single police force covering all of Scotland from April 2013.
It will replace the following existing forces, which were based on the previous regions and island areas:
- Central Scotland Police
- Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary
- Fife Constabulary
- Grampian Police
- Lothian and Borders Police (covering the Lothian and Borders regions)
- Northern Constabulary (covering the Highland region and the Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland island areas
- Strathclyde Police
- Tayside Police
- Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency
LGBT history
In 2012 the Gay Police Association protested at the proposed issuing of bibles to Scottish police officers.[1]
