Bangor is a city in Gwynedd, North Wales. Local institutions include its cathedral and university.
LGBT history
A E Dyson was lecturing in Bangor from 1955.
In 1979 the Bangor W H Smith branch was picketed to protest at the firm's refusal to sell Gay News.[1]
Unity Bangor is the local students LGBTQ+ society.
The Three Crowns has been a gay pub since 2003[2]
North Wales Pride was held for the first time in 2012.
