New Brighton is a seaside resort in Wallasey (formerly in Cheshire, now in the borough of Wirral in Merseyside. it was formerly noted for New Brighton Tower, the tallest structure in the country for a time, but now demolished.
LGBT history
There was a New Brighton CHE Group. In 1983 the Albion sauna in New Brighton was raided by Merseyside Police. A number of men were subsequently charged with gross indecency offences and the owner with an offence relating to keeping /running a brothel.
