Milton Keynes is a borough in Buckinghamshire. It was formally designated as a New Town in 1967, since when it has expanded very considerably. It was deliberately located equidistant from London, Birmingham, Leicester, Oxford and Cambridge.

Bletchley Park was the home during World War 2 of the Government Code and Cypher School, where a team including Alan Turing played a vital part in decrypting German secret communications.

The local LGBT organisation is Q:alliance. It organises the annual LGBT General Assembly.

The town's first Pride Parade wa held in August 2012.
