Cardiff University (Welsh: Prifysgol Caerdydd) is a university located in Cardiff. It was founded in 1883 as the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire. In 1893 it became one of the founding colleges of the University of Wales. It became an independent university in 2005. In 2021 University staff were faced by abuse and threats by trans activists [1].
