The Stonewall Wards 2006 ceremony inaugural, held at the Royal Academy was the inaugural event for the Stonewall Awards.[1] The winners were as follows[2]
- Publication of the Year: Pink News
- Politician of the Year: Baroness Ashton
- Writer of the Year: Sarah Waters
- Employer of the Year: Staffordshire Police
- Bully of the Year: Chris Moyles
- Journalist of the Year: Jonathan Oliver
- Broadcast of the Year: Sugar Rush
- Stonewall & Barclays Community Group of the Year: Albert Kennedy Trust
- Entertainer of the Year: John Barrowman
