Enfield is an outer London Borough in North London. It was formed in 1965 by merging the former boroughs of Enfield, Southgate, and Edmonton (all then in Middlesex}. Enfield was formerly the home of the Royal Small Arms Factory, which produced the Lee-Enfield rifle.LGBT history
The Enfield CHE Group was founded in November 1972.
In 1997 Stephen Twigg became MP for Enfield Southgate, unseating Michael Portillo.
