Milton Keynes is a borough in Buckinghamshire. It was formally designated as a New Town in 1967, since when it has expanded very considerably. It was deliberately located equidistant from London, Birmingham, Leicester, Oxford and Cambridge.Bletchley Park was the home during World War 2 of the Government Code and Cypher School, where a team including Alan Turing played a vital part in decrypting German secret communications.

The town's first Pride Parade was held in August 2012.
