The University of Nottingham was founded in 1881 as University College Nottingham, becoming an independent university in 1948. Its main campus, University Park, is situated on the outskirts of the City of Nottingham.

The University of Nottingham Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans and Questioning (LGBTQ) Staff Network provides information, advice and support to all LGBTQ staff.[1]
