Keir Mather
Keir Mather (born 1998) is a British Labour politician serving as Member of Parliament (MP) for Selby and Ainsty since the 2023 by-election. At the time of his election, aged 25, Mather became the youngest-serving MP.
Mather was educated at Hymers College in Hull and then South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College and received undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Oxford, graduating with a first in history and politics at Wadham College, Oxford before receiving a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree at University College. While at the University of Oxford Mather worked as a researcher for The Times journalist and former Conservative MP Matthew Parris.
Mather is gay [1]. He supports the rugby league club Hull Kingston Rovers and plays rugby for the London Stags RFC [2].
