The Bird in Hand is a gay-friendly pub in Croydon, South London.

As of 2011 it was the only remaining full-time gay venue in Croydon. As of April 2013 the Qype entry still said "Croydon's Longest Running and Only Gay Bar - serving as Croydon Gay Bar for nearly 30 years."[1]

For a time it was under the same ownership as the Southern Pride in West Norwood, and was renamed Bird of Pride, but it has since reverted to its original name.

At various times Lesbians Out Loud and Croydon Trans Group met there.
