August Trust
From LGBT Archive
The August Trust was an organisation formed in the early 1970s with the intention of setting up a home for elderly lesbians. This aim was not achieved, and the organisation no longer exists. In July 1976 Gay News reported that the Charity Commission had refused charity status to the Trust, which was then aiming to cater for gay men and women. At that time the Trust was operating from 33 Crescent Lane, Clapham, London [1].
