Newcastle GLF was listed in Gay News issue 1.
MCC Newcastle is the local branch of the Metropolitan Community Church. It was founded in 1991.
The Newcastle Ravens is a gay inclusive rugby team; it organises the Hadrian Cup competition.
The Newcastle Panthers is a gay football team.
Nick Forbes is leader of Newcastle City Council.
There is a thriving gay scene in the "Pink Triangle",[1] including the Powerhouse club.
NE Gayscene had a page of information about Newcastle.[2] That site has since been replaced by Gay Newcastle.
The Outpost Housing Project, based in Newcastle, provides accommodation support and advice to young LGBT people.[3]
In 2023 a lesbian gender critical football fan was banned by Newcastle United for expressing gender critical views on social media [4].
Newcastle Pride
Newcastle Pride is an annual Pride festival supported by the Northern Pride organisation.
