University coat of arms
The University of Wolverhampton was founded in 1969 as the Polytechnic, Wolverhampton, combining several existing institutions. It became an independent university in 1992. It has campuses in Wolverhampton, Walsall and Telford.

LGBT societies

The LGBT Society of the University of Wolverhampton was a member of the LGBT Consortium in 2012.[1]
