'Guy Vaughan Black, Baron Black of Brentwood (born 1964, Chelmsford, Essex) is Executive Director of the Telegraph Media Group and a Conservative Life Peer.
He studied history at Cambridge and worked for the Conservative Research Department and later the Press Complaints Commission, and joined the Telegraoph Media group in 1995. In 22010 he was appointed a life peer.
On 11 February 2006, he entered a civil partnership with his long-term partner Mark Bolland. Many leading media and political figures attended the ceremony and Murdoch MacLennan and Rebekah Brooks were witnesses.[1] Black is the first openly gay Tory peer.
