Newcastle upon Tyne is a city and metropolitan borough in Tyne and Wear. it was once one of the world's largest shipbuilding and ship-repairing centres.LGBT History

MCC Newcastle is the local branch of the Metropolitan Community Church. It was founded in 1991.
The Newcastle Ravens is a gay inclusive rugby team; it organises the Hadrian Cup competition.
The Newcastle Panthers is a gay football team.
Nick Forbes is leader of Newcastle City Council.
Northern Pride is a voluntary organisation supporting Newcastle Pride.
