Ross and Cromarty is a former county in the north of Scotland. The main towns were Dingwall on the mainland, and Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. The area is now divided between two council areas, the Highland area and Na h-Eileanan Siar (the Western Isles).LGBT History
In 2014 a split occurred in Stornoway High Church, when the majority of the congregation split from the Church of Scotland and joined the Free Church, in a protest against proposals to allow gay men and women to become ministers.[1]
