Cheltenham is a spa town and borough in Gloucestershire, noted for horse-racing and other festivals, and the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ).LGBT history

Gay News Issue 1 listed a Cheltenham GLF.
There was a Cheltenham CHE group in the 1970s.
EXS, Cheltenham's long-running gay nightclub, closed in 2012.[1] A hew club, Embassy, opened later that year.[2]
