Bournemouth CHE Group

South West Hants CHE Group (also known as South Hants CHE Group) was founded in October 1971. It was recognised as a CHE group in December that year.

In 1971, "South West Hants" would have included Bournemouth and Christchurch, which were transferred from Hampshire to Dorset in 1974. The group was renamed "Southampton/Bournemouth CHE" and at some point separated into separate Bournemouth and Southampton groups.
