Lesbian and Gay News announced it would be launching in mid February 2021. Lesbian and Gay News states that it picks up from an historic tradition of British lesbian and gay publications such as Gay News, which ran from 1972-1983, and The Pink Paper, which ran for 25 years from 1987 <ref> Lesbian and Gay News launches in February 2021 https://www.lesbianandgaynews.com/ </ref). David Bridle,Founder, Lesbian and Gay News,has been running Boyz magazine for 30 years,and before that co-edited The Pink Paper with the late Alison Dilly.
