Location of Shetland within Scotland

Shetland, or The Shetland Islands, is an archipelago and council area (and originally a county, officially referred to as Zetland) in the far north of Scotland.

The Northern Constabulary, covering the Highland, Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland areas, was replaced in 2013 by the Police Service of Scotland.
