the former Highbury Stadium

Highbury is a district within the London Borough of Islington. The former Arsenal football stadium was a local landmark, and has now been partly converted to housing.

LGBT history

There was a Highbury and Islington CHE Group in the 1970s.

David Starkey and his partner have a house in the area.[1]

Highbury Fields has been a known gay cruising area, and was the site of the first GLF demonstration in November 1970.
