LGBT History

Lincoln's Inn Fields was a mollie cruising area in the 18th century.

In 2010, Councillor Jonathan Simpson became Camden’s first openly gay mayor. He pledged to retain the “rock ‘n’ roll” spirit of Camden, a major landmark on Britain’s musical map. His Mayoress was Amy Lamé, broadcaster, writer and hostess of the south London gay club Duckie.[1]

There is a Camden LGBT Forum.[2]
