The London Borough of Bexley is an outer London borough, to the east of London and south of the Thames. Historically it was part of Kent. Districts within the borough include Old Bexley, Bexleyheath and Crayford.
LGBT history
Boy George was born in Bexley in 1961.
The Bexley CHE Group, founded around 1974, was later renamed BADGERS (Bexley and Dartford Gay Educational and Recreational Society) and eventually Magnet.[1]
Bexley Invicta FC was launched in 2011 as the first “gay friendly” club in Kent and south east London.[2]
