Shetland, or The Shetland Islands, and at one time referred to officially as Zetland, is an archipelago and council area in the far north of Scotland.

The Northern Constabulary, covering the Highland, Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland areas, was replaced in 2013 by the Police Service of Scotland.
