The Round Pond, Kensington Gardens

Kensington is an area and former borough within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It includes Kensington Gardens which is an extension of Hyde Park, the shopping area around Kensington High Street, and South Kensington, famous for its museums.

LGBT history

Kensington CHE Group (also known as The Good Companions) was founded in April 1972.

Kenric, the long-established lesbian group, took its name from Kensington and Richmond.

The broadcaster Daniel Farson was born in Kensington in 1927, and the art critic Brian Sewell was brought up there.

There was a Kensington CHE group.
