Temperance Hall, Hulme

The Temperance Hall, Hulme was the location of the 1880 Manchester drag ball.

"In recent years some articles have suggested that the event took place 'near Canal Street'. But the news reports of the time give the location as 'Hulme Place, York-street, Chester Road' which is where the A57 motorway crosses Chester Road today."
