The Star and Garter
The Star and Garter is a former gay pub in the High Street, Bromley.

It was built in 1898. The hanging sign in front of the pub is a well-known local landmark.[1]

It was closed for a while in 2010, and then re-opened under new management. Following a further refurbishment, it is no longer listed as gay.

"In a most welcome development, the grade II listed Star and Garter reopened in early November 2016 having been closed for more than two years. It was formerly Bromley's only gay venue during which time real ale was not available."[2]
