Marlborough is a market town in Wiltshire, on the Old Bath Road and the River Kennet. The local public school Marlborough College was one of the first to admit girls.

Former pupils of Marlborough College include Siegfried Sassoon, E F Benson, Beverley Nichols and Anthony Blunt.
