Marcus Dent, played by
Charlie Condou, is a fictional character in the ITV1 series
Coronation Street. He is a male midwife and sonographer, and meets
Sean Tully when Sean's baby was having its first antenatal scan. Marcus and Sean break up in 2008, but get back together in 2011. In 2012 they split up again, over differences in their approach to adopting children. In 2012 Marcus begins a heterosexual relationship with Maria Connor, but they break up in 2014 when he is discovered having sex with
Todd Grimshaw who had been plotting to seduce him.
