LGBAlliance
The LGB Alliance (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Alliance) was set up in 2019. They believe that attempts to introduce confusion between biological sex and the notion of gender are harming children, as well as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

Their campaign states We believe it’s wrong for children to be labelled masculine or feminine on the basis of clothing or play/activity preferences and in some cases to be led to believe that they might be ‘trapped in the wrong body.' These rigid gender definitions are deeply regressive and could possibly encourage body dysphoria. The numbers of children, particularly girls, seeking help has increased at an alarming rate. [1]
In 2020 the goals of the Alliance were: 1. Press Pause on Gender Recognition Reform Bill Scotland, 2. Stopping the teaching of gender identity in schools, 3. Get fair representation in all government discussions on LGB issues, 4. Highlight the dangers of medicalising “gender non-conforming” children [2]. In October 2021 the LGB Alliance held its first major national conference in London. Bev Jackson is one of the founders of the organisation. In March 2022 Kate Barker was appointed Managing Director of the Alliance.

Our Mission To advance lesbian, gay and bisexual rights
We advance the interests of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals, and stand up for our right to live as same-sex attracted people without discrimination or disadvantage.
We will ensure that the voices of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals are heard in all public and political discussions affecting our lives.
To highlight the dual discrimination faced by lesbians
We amplify the voices of lesbians and highlight the dual discrimination experienced by lesbians as women who are same-sex attracted in a male-dominated society.
To protect children who may grow up to be lesbian, gay, or bisexual
We work to protect children from harmful, unscientific ideologies that may lead them to believe either their personality or their body is in need of changing. Any child growing up to be lesbian, gay or bisexual has the right to be happy and confident about their sexuality and who they are.
To promote free speech on lesbian, gay and bisexual issues
We promote freedom of speech and informed dialogue on issues concerning the rights of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals. We assert that different opinions, even those we may disagree with, should be heard as part of the public debate.
In July 2023 the Alliance successfully defeated Mermaids in a court case brought against them by the transgender children's charity [3].
In 2024 the Alliance set up a helpline for young lesbian, gay and bisexual people aged 13-24 called LGB Helpline.
