The Homo Heroes Awards have been awarded every year since 2010, by the Lesbian and Gay Foundation in Manchester.
2014 Awards
The Homo Heroes Awards ceremony for 2014 was held on 7 October, to coincide with the celebrations for the 50th Anniversary of CHE. The winners were as follows:[1]
- Volunteer of the year:Jenny-Anne Bishop
- Public sector partner of the year: North West Ambulance Service
- Community group or organisation of the year: Village Bakers
- Business of the year: Serenity Security Solutions
- Role model of the year: Dave Armstrong
- LGBT venue of the year: The Molly House
- Barclays straight ally award: Tracy Walsh
- Community champion of the year: Vivien Walsh
- Alan Turing Memorial Award: CHE
- Outstanding Achievement Award: Duncan Craig.
