Peter Kyle (born 1970) is a Labour politician, who was elected as MP for Hove and Portslade in the 2015 general election.[1]

Peter Kyle grew up in Bognor Regis and went to Sussex University as a mature student. He is the former deputy chief executive of ACEVO (the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations).[2]

"Being gay and going to school in the 1980’s under Section 28 taught me what it’s like to have a government that’s against you. Labour changed all that and it’s amazing to think that I’m now standing to be our city’s first openly gay MP."[3]
