Harrogate is a spa town in North Yorkshire. The wider local government district of the same name also includes the city of Ripon.

Harrogate CHE Group was founded in 1972.
Birthplace of Olly Alexander.
In 2007, three young men were sent to prison for a homophobic attack on a gay man in Valley Gardens.[1]
The first Harrogate Pride was held in September 2012.[2]
Pride in Diversity is a local group working to raise awareness of issues concerning identity and diversity.
