The Senedd
The National Assembly for Wales (Welsh: Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru) was created by the Government of Wales Act 1998, which followed a referendum so that the Assembly can legislate in certain devolved areas without having to consult the UK parliament or the Secretary of State for Wales. It meets in the Senedd (Senate) building in Cardiff Bay.

In 2016, the first two LGBT members (not counting Ron Davies) were elected to the Assembly: Hannah Blythyn for the Delyn constituency, and Jeremy Miles for Neath,[1] both Labour.
