Mary McIntosh

Dr Mary McIntosh (1936–2013) was a sociologist, specialising in gay and feminist issues. She was an active member of GLF in the early 1970s, and worked for other radical organisations.[1]
- She was a prominent second-wave feminist, a founder member of the modern lesbian and gay movement in the UK, and one of the most influential feminist sociologists between the 1960s and 90s.[2]
Her publications include "The Homosexual Role" in Social Problems, Vol 16, No 2. (Autumn, 1968), published by the University of California Press.[3]
Mary McIntosh's papers are held at the Hall-Carpenter Archives.
