Mhairi Black
Mhairi Black, born 1994, is an SNP politician. She was elected as the MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire South in the 2015 general election, becoming the youngest MP since the nineteenth century.She stood down from Parliament in 2024.

She was born in Paisley, and studied politics and public policy at Glasgow University, sitting her final exams after the election.[1]

She was named as Attitude magazine's politician of the year for 2015:

"She is one of SNP’s seven MPs who identify as LGBTI. ... When asked about her decision to come out, she casually replied, “I’ve never been in.”[2]
