North Dorset is a former local government district in Dorset. In 2019 it became part of the new Dorset Council area. It is mainly rural, but includes the towns of Blandford Forum and Shaftesbury.

LGBT history

The Space Youth Project holds monthly meetings in Shaftesbury.^[1]
