Edwardian drinking fountain in Warley Woods Park
Warley is a former county borough in the West Midlands. It was formed in 1966 by combining the former county borough of Smethwick with the boroughs of Oldbury and Rowley Regis in Staffordshire. In 1974 it was absorbed into the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell.

LGBT history

There was a Smethwick LGBT Reading Group.[1]
