The Age of Consent was a pop album released in 1984 by Bronski Beat.

The album included "Smalltown Boy" with its theme of homophobia and family rejection.

The band had the telephone number of the London Gay Switchboard etched into the inner groove of the 12" vinyl version, and its inner sleeve listed the age of consent for gay sex in different countries of the world.
