Silver Rainbow was a lunch club for older gay men and lesbians in Croydon, Surrey, started in 2008 by members of Croydon Area Gay Society (CAGS) in partnership with Age Concern Croydon (now Age UK Croydon). It met twice a month, alternating between the Waterside Centre, South Norwood, and various other locations.[1] The lunches have continued, now branded as the "CAGS Lunch Club" and no longer restricted to older people. In 2009 and 2010 it was shortlisted in the Pink Paper Readers' Awards.[1]
The name "Silver Rainbow" has also been used by ILGA for a 2015 social media campaign to highlight life experiences of older LGBTI people.[2]
