The University of Reading was founded in 1892 as University College, Reading, and received its royal charter as a university in 1926. Its main campus is at Whitenights Park, about two miles south of Reading town centre. Its departments include the Henley Business School.LGBT societies
There was a Reading Students CHE Group in the 1970s.
