Alderney shown within the Bailiwick of Guernsey
Alderney is one of the Channel Islands, and part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. It should not be confused with the suburb of Poole, Dorset, with the same name.

LGBT history

T H White lived on Alderney from 1946 to his death in 1964.

In 2006, a local hotel owner, Adrian Leopard, accused the island of persecuting him because he is gay.[1]
