The White Swan, also known as BJ's White Swan, is a gay dance bar in Commercial Road, Limehouse, in the East End of London. Gay Europe (1995) describs it as "Working-class, local color East End Crowd. Shows, sometimes."[1]Wednesday nights at the White Swan are stripper nights. In January 2011 the local authority, Tower Hamlets council, threatened to ban the stripper nights as part of a general policy of closing venues that featured strippers, but the venue hoped to escape the ban because the strippers are amateurs and no exploitation is involved.[2]
The WayOut Club meet there once a month.
