Dorchester is the county town of Dorset. It is within the West Dorset local government district.

LGBT history

Stars Dorchester is a group for LGBT people under 25 in Dorchester and surrounding area.^[1]

Dorchester Pride was held for the first time in 2011.^[2]

There is a Dorchester congregation of the Metropolitan Community Church.
