The Shropshire Rainbow Film Festival takes place every October in Shrewsbury.[1]

LGBT Shrewbury lists LGBT events and organisations in the town.[2]

Chill Out Mondays are held monthly in the Old market Hall in the Square.

In 2013 members of the LGBT community were to join Shrewsbury Carnival for the first time.[3]

Jonathan Cutbill lived in the town up til his death in 2019.

Daniel Kawczynski is MP for Shrewsbury and Atcham.
