Bath Gay Awareness was a gay group in Bath.
It was founded in 1971, the name being chosen to avoid too close association with either CHE or GLF, but it later became associated with CHE, changing its name to "Bath CHE Group" in 1981. With the splitting off of local groups from CHE in 1983, the group renamed itself Gay West, and later absorbed Bristol CHE Group. A small campaigning group remained for a time as Avon CHE Group.[1]
