Gloucestershire is a county in south-west England.

The county council area includes six districts:

Additionally, the Gloucestershire ceremonial county also includes a unitary authority, South Gloucestershire.

Police

Policing in the county council area is provided by Gloucestershire Constabulary. Suzette Davenport was appointed Chief Constable in 2013.

South Gloucestershire is covered by Avon and Somerset Constabulary.

LGBT history

Gay Girls of Gloucestershire is a group for lesbians of all ages.[3]
