The Chepstow
The Chepstow was a gay pub in Notting Hill, located at 38 Chepstow Place, Westbourne Grove.

Initially it tried to exclude gay men for fear of upsetting the straight clientele and the police were called, but it was subsequently reinvented as a gay pub.[1]

The lesbian social group Sappho met there in the 1970s and 1980s.

In 1910 it was renamed The Chesterfield.[2]

It has since closed.
